Olympics

Olympics.

Not being an avid watcher of sport on the TV I have to admit, my viewing has been done when hubby is around, and even then I’ve most likely been multi-tasking. But, today I’m delighted to see that the news on the front of the daily paper has a real upbeat picture, Sir Chris Hoy with his fifth gold medal, instead of the downside of somebody losing out by seconds to win a medal. I find it very difficult, and anger making, to understand why the British press do so often dwell on the bad news. For heavens sake, to even get a place to take part in the Olympic Games needs massive dedication and talent so wherever the Brits are placed their up side should hit the news, not their failures. It must be distressing enough to lose out by a tiny margin but far worse when it is compounded by the press hounds.
